Additional Image: This is my submission for the WIT Collaborative, Seeds of Growth. My interpretation of this theme was to demonstrate personal growth as a maker. While rehabbing from my second knee replacement late last fall, I began to experiment with polymer clay. My goal is to use this medium to expand what I can make in my Soul Series works. So, stay tuned for that journey.
This is a turned, carved and painted cherry 'log' with a branch union. A tiny seedling, made from polymer clay, has taken root in the bottom of the branch union. The seedling represents my 'branching out' into other media.
