This was a segmented piece I made for @Gene Pitstick over on the Segmented Woodturners Holiday Swap. 24 segments per ring. The feature ring is made of maple with 1/8" purpleheart spacers. This was my first attempt at any sort of feature ring. Above and below the feature ring is a 1/4" maple ring surrounded by 1/16" dyed maple veneer. The vessel measures approximately 4.75 inches high and 6 inches wide.
