Another piece influenced by ceramist Hideaki Miyamura. Interestingly he was influenced by the glass work of famous Italian glass artist Lino Tagliapietra. Many of his forms were the natural drip like forms created when an inflated molten bubble of glass was dripping from an inverted blow pipe. I think many natural forms are in our DNA from observing natural forms of nature. A drop of water , the arc of a projectile, the sag of a rope, the shape of vegetation, these forms have always surrounded us for millennia. What do you think?
