Serial 22001 Model VMLN0411 Big Leaf Maple Burl Vase

I had this chunk of wood for about 20 years so I decided it was about time to make something of it. The vase is about 4" (100mm) X 11" (280mm) tall finished with 2 heavy coats of lacquer (sprayed on with the vase rotating to prevent runs). Note: the lower part of the vase has 4 flats the make it look straight on the sides in the picture
