Smoky Rings of Ash

This bowl was created from six layers of ash, each one laser cut with a repeating ring pattern before being stacked and glued into a single blank. The carved channels were then filled with a rich smoky black resin that creates a deep contrast against the warm grain of the ash. Once cured, the entire piece was turned on the lathe to reveal clean lines, flowing curves, and the way the layered pattern comes alive in three dimensions. The result is a modern decorative bowl with a bold spiral design that shifts as you rotate it, echoing both natural growth rings and abstract artwork.
