Spalted Norway Maple Bowl w/ Textured and Burnt Rim

This 5" spalted Norway Maple bowl was turned in 2003 and features a textured and burnt rim. Texturing was done with a small air-driven tool and burnt with a common plumbing torch. The finish is super blond shellac applied and buffed out at the lathe.
