Spring Tulips - Lid

Spring Tulips was inspired by some craftsman style pottery photos I ran across. Breaking from my usual mold I decided to try some new ideas which included my first attempt at doing feet on a piece. The field texture was done with a tiny carbide ball tip. The colors are mixed TransTint dyes applied by hand brushing and an air brush. The entire piece was sprayed with multiple coats of matte finish which leaves a slight velvet sheen. Turned from maple and it is 5” tall.
