This Platter measures 550 dia ,A unique piece of Ancient Swamp Kauri .The high gum content meant I had to oil sand as it blocked up the paper .!0 Coats of lacquer.
I still wish I hadn't sold this piece as it was such a special bit of wood

It reminded me of a close-up of a wave on the ocean. Really beautiful work showing of a great piece of wood.
