Sugi Cedar Burl Round Bottom Box

Debuting another new species here, but maybe not as well known, Sugi Cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) is a rare wood from S.E. Asia. Also called English Fragrant Cedar, this wood has tight lace like burl patterns and a very pungent piney citrus scent. Turned in the round bottom style, this box is really quite unique. Taking the suggestion of @Tom Gall I made this box larger then my typical sized boxes. Turned, hollowed and finished with buffed abrasive wax. Size is 2 1/8" wide x 2" tall. I like the larger size box, but only if I can find a piece large enough!
