The ugly duckling

Acacia Melanoxylon or Blackwood, taken from the Southern Highlands, an area not really known for good Blackwood. Blown over in a storm about a 1m dia tree and a buddy and i got most of it over two 12 hr days. The blank had all sorts of issues, dry rot, cracks, lousy shape and so on.
