19 cm high in birch. The stem between the shapes is 1.5 mm diameter. The birch is not the ideal wood to do this type of projects. It is too soft and not good for details. Boxwood and Maple will be better. The stem could be even thinner. The support is in Lace wood. The idea of this project came from Bernard Azema who I visited in August at his shop in South of France this summer. He specializes in these type of projects. https://www.instagram.com/tps.bois.bernard_azema/?hl=en
