Another piece from my stash of Mulberry. This started as a bowl demo at one of July's turning meetings. When I got it home I continued working on it live on my webcam. My husband had been watching and came running down...
This is a box elder (Manitoba Maple) vase which is black on the inside and blue on the outside. It has 8 routed spiral slots and measures approx 10 inches tall.
3 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" tall; black portions are textured with pyrography pen, the whole piece is colored with prismacolor markers. The finish is two coats of danish oil, then a coat of Krylon UV resistant clear coat.
This is boxelder that has been enhanced with pyrography and prismacolor markers. It's 3x3. The black areas have been textured with a pyrography pen and colored black.
Lightly spalted boxelder. Approximately 8-1/2" diameter by 4-1/2" tall. Wall thickness is 1/2". Finish is BLO and carnuba wax.

Two box elder "pitcher style" vases. The one on the right was plainer wood and it was treated with aniline dye and lacquer. The one on the left was finished with Antique Oil.They are about 12 and 14 inches tall respectively.
