    Our chapters monthly challenge was to turn a spindle for a wig stand. These spindles would then be pared with base/tops other members created. This paring was meant to be!

    Friends Sally Ault, Janice Levi, Ana Lappegard and I have been working on this turning because we wanted to. It measures 7 1/2" x 10" including the base. The bowl is pear and the base is manzanita.

    This was a collaborative piece between myself as well as Gorst duPlessis and JoHannes Michelsen. Gorst did the ornamental turning on the dress and JoHannes turned the hat. It was autioned off at the 2007 Portland Symposium Auction
