This 10-inch tall vase was turned off center on the upper sections to generate the twist. Three Genko leaves were carved and colored in the top rim to add a splash of color and interest. A glass insert was added to the vase so that it can hold water and flowers. My best guess at the wood...
This 19-inch-tall table was made with crisscrossed legs that were created on the lathe using a technique known as therming. Woods used were Walnut for the top, Pau Marfin for the legs and Cherry for the center sphere. I used almost every tool in my shop on this. Finish is Watco Oil buffed.
