I made this for my son for Christmas; the main body is African Mahogany the interior lid is Pompele Sapele Mahogany; everything was finished w/ Deft sanding sealer then Lacquer and buffed natural Carnauba Trewax. I had fun making this one I really like making these containers, it's 4 3/4" D x 5" tall.

When you say “stash†container...

Here in the mellowed-out western US… I made this as a kind of joke but may go into production!:) (Also gives a new meaning to weed pot!)

baltimore was a major colonial port.......most (cannot say all) sailing ships of that era had purral hidden compartments......a variety of items were transported in these compartments.......while in plain sight were hemp ropes (running rigging).......they even had compartments for the running rigging.......in fact in Virginia today they are experimenting under lawful consent growing hemp.........O can you see........

I had the same initial reaction that Owen had. I can tell that you're a younger guy. Back in the late 60's and 70's when I was in college and then the Army, it referred to weed, joint, pot, hooch, rope, and various other nicknames. And, no, I never smoked.
