I received the below through the Bucks woodturners. Carl has been diagnosed with Leukemia and awaits a Jan. 6, 2010 bone marrow transplant. He is need of blood donors. Perhaps you can donate in his name through your local American Red Cross.
Thanks
Mike Cunningham

Although I am a long time member and past president and vice president
from the early days of the Bucks Woodturners I have not been attending
meetings lately. I was diagnosed with Leukemia in June 2009 and have
been undergoing treatment. I am going into the hospital for a bone
marrow transplant January 6, 2010. As part of that treatment, I will
be receiving blood transfusions.

I am looking for doners to help out. Would you please ask at tonights
meeting that anyone who is willing to donate blood contact the Red
Cross and donate. They should say that the donation is for the
benefit of Carl Desko. Any donation will be appreciated and will help
me and others who need blood.

Thanks

Carl Desko
