This was an excellent event and a great time! Aside from the heat outside and the meat locker temperature on the inside of the hall (lol), it was great to mingle again with our extended family!! That was too long in coming!! The added bonus was putting faces to some of our forum contributors, chit chatting w/o a keyboard! The instant Gallery made my socks roll down a number of times; seeing pieces in person makes such a greater impact on your perspective of the pieces!! On to Louisville and don’t forget to volunteer!!

It was great. I ran cameras for 8 demos so had very little time for visiting but still met some very interesting people. The instant gallery was smaller but the work was the best I've seen.
Is it any wonder I did not meet you John! Your volunteer work made the show what it was!

I made a prediction earlier this year that this Symposium would be epic. I was neither wrong, nor disappointed. It was wonderful seeing old friends again and meeting new ones. This is the 'family' vacation I look forward to every summer.
Meeting you and helping you unpack your IG pieces was a real treat for lil ol me Donna!! Looking forward to chatting again next year!

I agree Russ. It was a great symposium but at times I wish I had a sweater to stay warm. The best part was seeing everyone in person and viewing the amazing items in the instant gallery. Sorry we did not 'link up'. (we probably passed each other in the hallways or the vendor area many times...)

I agree it was a great event. It was good to meet Emiliano, wish I could have met the rest of you. You are all right on the conference rooms being too cold. I wish my room air conditioner worked that well, as I like sleeping in a cold room. We made a road trip out of it. In Mobile Alabama this morning, headed west today.

It was great seeing everybody but the effects of covid and things like gas prices lingered. There were a lot of vendors that did not come and the crowd was smaller than usual. Hopefully Louisville next year will have gas prices down and more people willing to travel and get back to normal. Louisville in 2006 is still the biggest turnout for an AAW Symposium (those of you there have to remember the elevator waits:rolleyes:). That won't happen next year as it is at a better venue, hope to see more of you there.

Comments about the chill in the air take me back to the Symposium in Phoenix however many years back. 108 outside, inside was cool. I was sweating while wearing shorts and a T shirt, but I do tend to run hot. You could tell the locals because they were all wearing long pants and jackets or sweaters..... I hope to make it next year.

And standing room only in the demo rooms. I couldn't even get in the room to watch Stewart Mortimer. The wait was so long to check in they brought out bottled water. I considered that year a disaster.

It was great meeting you. And I lost count of how many great friends stopped me to say hello. Felt like a big family reunion, except that I liked everyone there, LOL Your work is even more impressive in person!!

Was great seeing you and spending some time together. You worked hard, everytime I saw you, you were busy with a customer!

I had to go out and stand in the sun like a lizard to defrost. I was actually shivering several times the first day. I took my jacket the rest of the days, and even then, I was a bit cold. I enjoyed talking with you. I was in awe of your amazing vase. I started a conversation, check it out when you can. Aloha!

Although it was brief, I got to say hello to you!
