If not interest in the chuck, you may find the comparison interesting. I got the Apprentice from Craft Supplies and they say the mfg stopped making it. I just bought a Barracuda 2 chuck from PSI and they have not mentioned anything about discontinuing it. Anyway, the apprentice and Barracuda are identical chucks with just a couple of mods. Everything is the same including the wooden box, the red handle allen head wrench, screw sizes, jaws, the shape of the number stampings on the jaws. Definitely made by the same company. The difference? The screw chuck screw on the Barracuda is a tapered screw. On the Apprentice it is straight. On the chuck body there are two machined decorative rings. On the Baraccuda the lower ring is 1/8" from the bottom and on the Apprentice its 3/16". Wow!
