I have an apprentice chuck from Craft supplies and like it very much. I was considering another body but today Craft Supplies informed me that the Apprentice chuck is no longer being manufactured. The manufacturer dumped it. Bummer! No replacement parts.

I understand the PSI Barracuda 2 chuck is the same chuck as the Apprentice. They sure look alike. Maybe not as the Baraccuda is still available (so far).

I don't know about the Barracuda 2, but (in my previous thread) I mentioned the PSI Barracuda chuck set that is currently on special. Well, I went ahead and ordered it, and have to say I am very pleased! Nice, solid body, good fit and finish, having five jaw sets is a tremendous plus, and it all came in a nice wooden box. I priced out the different jaw sets if purchased separately for my Nova Midi, and it would have come to well over $200 alone. Now I have a spare chuck with all the jaw sets I need for $130. :D

Again, here's the link if anyone is interested...
