I will be doing a demo for the Carolina mountain woodturners next weekend, the 20th. Here is a photo of what I'll be demonstrating. I will turn a hand mirror and talk about how to cut more cleanly. Then I'll turn a 2 piece ornament with some texturing. Then a one piece chain ornament and discuss other ways of texturing and coloring. Then I will show how I do my sponge painted natural edge bowls and after that how to play with JoSanjo irridescent paints. Should be a great day to learn about all sorts of texturing and coloring as well as tool cutting techniques.
