I know a guy that owns a sawmill. He runs it with his two sons. They gave me a walnut slab 24” by 7’ by 2” thick. They also gave me two spalted curly maple boards 8” by 7’ by 4/4. I made each one a walnut bowl with a maple segmented ring from the wood they gave me. The bowl is around 9” in diameter. My wife wanted a chip and dip platter and I was able to make it from the walnut slab. The platter is around 21” in diameter.IMG_1124.jpegIMG_1083.jpegIMG_1122.jpeg
