Cherry Laurel

The Cherry Laurel ( Prunus Caroliniana) is mostly a shrub around here. A tree service called and had a large one that they were taking down. I grabbed it and like what I see.

Sorry to be pedantic but the first letter of the specific name should always be lower case, hence Prunus caroliniana.

Beautiful piece of wood. That grain reminds me of Italian olive .
