Welcome new registering member. Your username must be your real First and Last name (for example: John Doe). "Screen names" and "handles" are not allowed and your registration will be deleted if you don't use your real name. Also, do not use all caps nor all lower case.
What I have done is taken one of those abrasive cleaner pads that is mounted on plastic and I glued magnets to the bottom. I then put tape over the magnets to protect the finish. (I will post this in the tips section later in the week).
From there I put it on the lathe ways while sanding and stay vigilant about cleaning the pad during use. If sanding finishes, you need to really keep up with it since it will gum it up and melt in making it harder to clean.
