I will be spending a week or so in the Washington DC area in early February. Where are the places of special interest to turners. Thank you for any advice and guidance.

If you want to see some really nice work: The Renwick Gallery, the Smithsoniam Craft museum, has a permanent turning collection and has additonal turning shows. The Sansar gallery in Bethesda has a some fine woodturnings

Capital Area Woodturners meet the second Saturday in Nothern VA
Chesapeake Woodturners meet the third Saturday in Annapolis, MD

Check their web sites for program when you go and give a call or E-mail to see if they have any special programs during your visit.
