Sad to notify you that we lost Jack Armstrong to cancer. Some of you may know him or recognize his work.
He was a significant influence with his turning art pieces in the New Zeeland art and turning world.
He was a superstar in lots of ways. A true artist with his forms and embellishments that told moving stories.
In the short time I knew Jack we became more like brothers than just Turning buddies.
He made a huge positive effect on the many “families” he had around him.
Our turning community is like a family and I am sure the other art and social groups he impacted will morn his loss too.

Jack was an US citizen that retired to New Zealand. We sent him a long bed American Beauty in 2013. He was great to work with and very understanding of international shipping foibles. And an excellent turner too. Sad to hear this news Lyle, and thanks for letting everyone know.
