If so, it was their high shipping costs. How does Cooks ship free over $99 and this place has shipping cost more than the wood?

As far as shipping, small business can't make as good of a deal with carriers as a large one can. Wood is heavy and someone has to pay the shipping. If so, it was their high shipping costs. How does Cooks ship free over $99 and this place has shipping cost more than the wood?
Can’t they use PirateShip like we can?As far as shipping, small business can't make as good of a deal with carriers as a large one can. Wood is heavy and someone has to pay the shipping.

It’s a service that searches FedEx, UPS, and USPS for best rate and allows one to ship for a fraction of the usual price. Several companies do this—even small businesses. I use it for all shipping. What is PirateShip. Is it everywhere or serve some areas only?

Alan, are you saying that you use PirateShip as an individual, or is it only for businesses?
Sure, but if you have a gig contract you get much better rates. Can’t they use PirateShip like we can?
Individuals can use it, no problem. I do. But I think the point that brought this up was what big companies can ship for, which is often quite a bit cheaper even than Pirateship can offer - Big companies are able to negotiate wholesale bulk package rates (based on a minimum daily volume that could amount to truckloads) so they can often ship for less than 5 bucks a package - but UPS/FedEx profit on them because the packages are already presorted and palletized so they save a lot of work , which savings is passed on to the company. However, as far as Pirateship goes, they are able to offer better negotiated retail rates with UPS/FedEx/USPS (Think business class discounts) that individuals would never see at over the counter shippers like USPS counter or UPS Store, etc.Alan, are you saying that you use PirateShip as an individual, or is it only for businesses?
