Hi everyone,
I wanted to thank everyone who made the Hartford Symposium the best moment in my woodturning life.
Thank you to all the wonderful people I met in Hartford CT for an amazing time. I did not know what to expect and was bowled over by the reception. Thank you to everyone who came to watch my demonstrations, It would not have been the same without you. It was an exciting and very humbling experience for me and one that I will never forget.

It was a genuine pleasure to meet you and see your work in person. And your demos were very well done with skill and humor. I think you might just have a bright future in this woodturning thing.;):D
 
Doug, both of your presentations were awesome! From the time that you thanked everyone for coming :) to the final touches that you applied to the demo piece I was captivated. As a long time follower of your art it was certainly a thrill to see you in person and to actually hold one of your pieces. Wow! And on top of all that I learned a thing or two. Yeah, just a thing or two... LOL!

Likewise, the Symposium would not have been the same without you. Thanks so much!
 
Nice work

I was lucky enough to see your work at our local club meeting this week.

Brent English of Robust lathes purchased one of your pieces at the Symposium and brought it to our club meeting for show and tell.

Very nice work, I enjoyed seeing it first hand too.
