epicycloidal cutting frame

I'm working my way through a box of bits, hopefully I will have an ornamental lathe when finished. I want to finish the brass with a curling affect. I had a writeup on how to do it but its disapeared. Anyone got a writeup?

I also have this bit which has some major pitting, I'm inclined to surface grind it and re scribe the lines

As for the curling effect, Frank Dorion documented the whole process. He wrote an article about it for the November 2023 edition of the OTI Newsletter. All the back editions of the OTI Newsletters are available to OTI Members at the OTI website.

I'm already a member of the SOT and sent a message to Arthur. I finished the frame, I noticed there is a a screw missing from the top adjuster
