Years ago I took a class on turning and was fascinated by the Conover lathe that would handle a 16" diameter piece and length limited only by the length of the bed I constructed. So, I bought the variable speed DC drive lathe.

I have used the lathe about 6 times. It works great, but I guess I'm just not a turner and, apparently, will not become one.

My question is, what is the best way to offer this lathe for sale?

Huh? Best way to offer for sale? Put an ad on the want-ad section of this forum would certainly be a good start. Be sure to give the price and consideration to shipping or not.

Where are you located?

You can probably offer it through a local chapter in your area.
Near me,
The Florida and Tampa/Orlando chapters here have an email networks and lathes are often sold using it.

The Conover is a good lathe. It looks like you have electronic speed control.
A lot of folks are in the market for a bigger lathe but not a really big one.

there are other members here that live close to you who could be interest in this lathe, I buy it myself but money & space will not permit it
increasing the height would be easy
