Finish for twig pot with bark

I turned a twig pot from olive wood. The bottom and top are turned, but i left the body alone due to the characteristics of the branch. Any thoughts on finish, if any, for the bark area? Thanks.

To me bark looks better with no finish. If you have to apply a finish to it use a satin to reduce that reflectivity.

When I finish a piece with multiple coats of Waterlox(3-6) I put one light coat of waterlox on the bark.
one coat is a soft non shiny finish.

Similar to Al's method, with polymerized tung oil, one or two coats on the bark, with 4-5 coats on the rest.
