Pretty excited to attend my first symposium. Heading to Lakeland tomorrow morning for the Florida Wood Turners Symposium. I’ve been turning for about 1 1/2 years now and all self taught, you tube and trial and error. Lots of errors. Looking forward to the demonstrations. And the wife says don’t be shy to shop. I’m a lucky man.

My first one pretty much had me burned out early Sunday. Just information overload..... Too much to compute, but it was worth it...

robo hippy

Had a great day at the symposium. Nick Agar put on a great presentation, informative and funny. Kent Weakly and Kent Harris presentations were also very good. Came back with a Beall wood buff system.
Robo, I know what you mean about the info overload…..still digesting!

The friendships you build and the rubbing elbows with like minded people is second to none. Most Woodturners are fun, witty people; come for the laugh as well! Don’t forget to volunteer!!

Yes we will check that out for sure.
better hurry the florida symposium closes at noon tomorrow. :)

this began about the florida symposium. I saw the Florida instant gallery a few hours ago.

the AAW symposium instant gallery usually takes me 4 or 5 visits and I still see pieces i missed.
Louisville should be exceptional too
