My first attempt at making “identical” goblets.
It’s not as easy as I hoped!
Any tips to make it better/easier would be appreciated!!

Keep practicing. You can use templates but for me I usually do better by eye. I use a parting tool and calipers to get the depth of the high/low spots, then eye it.
Absolutely!! They really only have to be similar. It's true of table legs, chair legs, bedposts, etc. If your two further apart, differences in details would be harder to recognize. And if they're each in someone's hand --

Thanks Steve. I’ll give the templates a try. Setting in with the parting tool didn’t get me as close as I was hoping.

Just couldn't resist a little friendly jab. Hope everything is working out with your new rig. Are you using the swivel head feature much?
I hope you’re as happy with yours as I am.
Yes I use the swivel head any time I hollow. I haven’t had any more issues with my back
I’ve even put the outboard attachment to use.

I used to turn some spindles for a guy who did furniture repair. If I needed 3 of them, I would turn 5. Getting them perfect is impossible, at least for me, without a replicator or those jig things for spindle turning.
