Some of you may not know that there is a new AAW chapter serving the north metro Atlanta area. The Atlanta Woodturners Guild meets on the 3rd Weds of each month, at 7pm, at the Woodcraft store on Holcomb Bridge Rd in Roswell. The club's 4th meeting will be held this Weds, 1/16/08. The demonstrator for this month should not be missed. Al Stirt will demo at this meeting, so if you're on the North side of town, check out this new club.
Since I'm a member of the new club and the older, more established Georgia Association of Woodturners, I will also point out, for those metro Atlanta turners that prefer the big city, Al Stirt will also demo this Thursday evening for GAW at Highland Woodworking - 6:30pm.
Both clubs are excellent groups and if you don't belong to one (or both) of them, you don't know what you're missing.
