Ed has posted an update to Symposium schedule (the grid) that includes the schedule for the Friday night special interest sessions.
These sessions are intended to bring folks with common interest together to network and share experiences
The program began in Portland and has grown this year.
Back by popular demand are sessions for: The Collectors of Wood Art,
Pen Turning, Ornamental Turning , Hollow Turning, and Segmented Turning
New additions include:
Box Turning --a session that all box makers will want to attend
Woodturning and disabilities- -a session that interests me and others on this forum
The woodturning Center – they are planning something special
Education Opportunities – (a favorite of mine) a great place to find out what is training is available and which classes would work best for your needs.
Friday night also has a Special presentation by Jim Staley. Jim has had a group of NC State Materials Science and Engineering students performing testing on turning tool steels.
Come find out what they learned and where you favorite gouge’s steel ranks.
If you don’t see anything here that interests you. You have few days yet to add a new session.
