Hearing Aids Faceshields with ear muffs

I finally broke down and got some long needed hearing aids yesterday. Previously I just used plugs under my faceshiels, Univex. I put my regular muffs on and the face shield would not completely come down. It came to about 80 degrees, still providing protection, but not as well as I would like. I know Trend has a system with ear protection, but is there a less expensive setup? looking for what ear muffs work with a face shield.
 
I wear the stihl pro mark helmet when I use a chain saw or pole saw the muffs are comfortable for me.
This has a screen visor for big chips and no impact protection.

Stihl has a similar looking industrial helmet with a face shield that is ANSI z87.1-1989
 
I have hearing aids and take them out when I'm in the shop. I wear the silicon military ear plugs. Muffs don't work with my face shield.
 
Our club had a presentation by an audiologist a couple years ago and he surprised me by saying the little foam ear plugs, properly used, are more effective than muffs. As for hearing aids, I agree with John--I take mine out.
 
In the shop yesterday and was able to pull sides of face shield out to get it to close more downward. I realize I can take the hearing aids out, but one reason I want to wear them is they are blue tooth connected to my phone. I run my DC even when turning and cannot hear my phone. If my wife needs something she can now call instead of having to walk out to the shop. so taking them out would defeat on of the goals for getting them.
I did see the impact rated forrest shields with ear muffs. So far that and the trend seem to be options.

There are earmuffs that have a behind the neck band rather than the typical headband that goes over the top of your head. The brand that I have is Peltor Optime 105 behind the head version. They also have the same earmuffs with an over the head band. I am able to use them while using my 3M Airstream so it should work with most faceshields.
 
Bill, I found a similar set by Honeywell that I have ordered.

Jesse, I'm in and out of the shop quite often and people coming by. Although removing them might be ideal, I prefer to keep them in if possible. I can't think of any negative reason to keep them in with ear muff protection.

I was using the over the ear cup hearing protectors at a class. With the constant use and removal of the hearing protector and visor somehow one of my hearing aids fell off and landed in the sawdust. It took awhile with everyone's help to find it. Since then I keep my hearing aids out of the shop, gym, and back yard. I don't plan on replacing one.

When I first started wearing them I was very aware that I had them in. Then I got use to them and once was trying to figure out why the foam ear plug wouldn't fit then remembered I had the hearing aids in. :oops: I keep a clean container in the shop for them, but frequently take them out before going out there.

Thats a great reason to wear the bluetooth hearing aids connected to the phone, safety reasons to, with mine, I can tell the phone to call 911 if I ever needed to...

On the phone controller for my aids there is a "find my hearing aid" feature, I am embarrassed to admit this but I have used it more than once. Once on a bicycle ride I found it two days later, glad I had put new batteries in before the ride.
