Historical Wood Opportunity

Sounds good Jim. But, to make it even, I want to send you some wood for some pens. I got some super curly mango, I can cut some for you. I gave the church person the pen yesterday. he loved it! Someone gave me several brand new boxes to put in pens. Can you use some of those? They are very fancy looking. I love my fountain pen Jim. You did a great Job.
I don't really need anything like supplies, I work at a Woodcraft store and more than I can use. A pen blank in curly maple sounds nice though.

I would like to have two blanks for myself and will make two pens to mail back.

Hello Jim! I will have a picture soon to post here and or to send it to you. Your pen was presented to the Catholic Bishop! A small entourage was going to Kalaupapa, taking my goblet inside a Koa box, to be presented to the Kalaupapa community.

Emiliano,

Apologies for the extended delay. I just finished up a simple round bowl (I am a simple round turner) about 5" in diameter. It started off with a slightly more complex profile, but seemed to want to be round. Whatever the wood, it is super soft, cuts like butter, and soaks up the finish like a sponge. This has 3 coats of wax finish. Can you send me your address to send it back to you?

I split the remaining chunk with a splitting maul to get a very rough edge and filled the crack with resin. I'll send over a picture once it's finished up.

Thanks!
