This is a testimonial for their use when turning. I took a small piece of log, about four inches in diameter. Tried to pry off some of the bark but it was tighter than skin on a wiener. But it turns out there was a loose piece that came off when the tool hit it. Trajectory was such that it hit where my nose was behind the mask. Just thought I would pass this along as a reminder to always practice safety in the shop. I have a sign on the wall behind my lathe to remind me of the safety equipment before turning. Don' think I can show it as It was published in the magazine a few years ago. Can't remember the issue.
