At our club we have a presidents challenge every other month for those who want to participate. That gives us two months to get it done. Our President picks what it will be. This first one is an hourglass. My first one was an inside out turning out of walnut. It looked very cool with the hourglass in it but it had a few flaws. I didn’t want to turn in anything with flaws so I cut it out and made the old standard. It is made from quarter sawn sycamore and has five coats of Arm-R-Seal Satin.
