Finally got'r done. Ingredients:
  • a standard Hunter round shank #1 retro
  • standard Rolly Munro link
Drilled a 3/16" hole in the thru-hole side of the link, cut off the threaded end with a dremel, ground it down a bit and CA glued the Hunter retro.

Went to this extreme due to hollowing lots of seriously wet koa - will probably use it on other logs too.

I love the Hunter #1 for hollowing. I have a small version I made for hollowing ornaments and it's spectacular.
