New this Year... There will be a limited amount of vertical display space available in the Instant Gallery in Louisville. Wall hangings will no longer have to be viewed horizontally on a table. To reserve a place for your wall-mounted piece, contact this year's Instant Gallery coordinator, Malcolm Tibbetts at malcolm@tahoeturner.com. Space will be available on a first-come basis.

THis will be my first show, can you provide details on how the IG works? Thank you

Chris

Every registered attendee gets to bring 3 pieces to show off. They go into a large room. Every piece is registered (through our tireless volunteers). And no piece leaves the room unless the original owner gets it. You can either bring your own labels or use handwritten ones provided by the AAW. Look on the previous AAW symposium pages for pics of the previous IGs. The AAW has a wonderful history with this and there are lots of interesting photos online here

So there is no need to reserve a spot unless its a wall hanging? This is where I got confused as I never heard of reserving a spot.

That is correct Chris. The only reservations that are needed are for wall hangings - since that will be a special section which will be setup based on how many people reserve space in advance. All other IG pieces are limited to 3 pieces per person and no reservations are needed for those.

In addition I'll contact all the AAW Forum contest winners and I'll setup a portion of a table to highlight the pieces from those contests which are brought to the gallery.
