ISO touch-up paint

Please don't take this the wrong way, but Are you out of your mind? If my mustard monster was in need of painting, Powermatic yellow would be the second to last one I'd ever pick.
 
You might want to check the mustard monster site - they should have an idea. Lots of info for PM owners. I do agree with the comments above - seems like a good opportunity to lose the mustard...

You could take a part in for color-matching to a place like Sherwin-Williams or an auto body supply house that mixes paint. They can match it and put it in aerosol cans or leave in regular, drippy paint cans. One part (single stage) enamel would be my choice of paint type.
 
I don't mind the Powermatic yellow, it is distinctive! A few years back the 3520b was available in black (I like black). I didn't get one but a friend did and little chips in the paint are so much more noticeable in the black vs the yellow. ;)
 
I assume he is just wanting to dona touch up job so changing the color would not be an option. Years ago I looked and Powermatic a totally sold the paint. Havent looked in a long time. I have a couple of areas on my lathe where I have worn off the color so maybe i will look today if i remember
 
Curiosity got me to do a little google-ing. The paint is "Powermatic 6612060 Bronze Enamel". Apparently you can call powermatic and order it. Google found a few places that sell it (spray can), none of which I'm familiar with except amaon. The price on amazon is ridiculous ($35) and elsewhere it's simply outrageous ($25 -ish).
 
Any paint store can match a color, take a picture of your machine and compare it to off the shelf colors and you will most likely find a close match. All paints change color over time as it fades from environmental conditions so getting an exact match does not matter unless you having it sitting next to another machine, depending on the age of each machine you may see a slight difference in the color.

Ever buy one of those touch up pens for your car at the auto parts store? $14 for .44 ounces. If my math is correct, that's over $500 for a pint.
 
I needed some once, & bought it directly from Powermatic. Some say that the Caterpillar yellow is the same, but I didn’t try it.

As for matching paint, that won’t be a spray if you are ok with that.

I used some matched paint to paint my MDF Rose Engine Lathe.
