A few years back I found a threaded insert for small jars. It was gold colored, about 1.5" in diameter. You created a tendon in the top and base for it to fit in. Question. Where did I get this? Where are they available. I want to make a top for my walking stick to hold critical medications. Wooden threads won't do in this case.
 
I bought some a very long time ago. It was either Lee Valley or Craft Supplies because those were the only places I bought from back then.
