Woodturnersamerica.com and the Mid South Woodturners Guild, Joans home club, have joined together and established the Joan Kelly Memorial Fund. Joans story is on the front page of Woodturnersamerica.com. Please read it. You can make a donation thru the paypal button located at the bottom of the article. The money raised will be used to provide grant money to other AAW clubs to make an approiate shield in front of their club lathes to help protect the audience. The plan is to have generic drawings and recommended materials available with the grants. We still have not established the process and requirements yet but they are in the works and will be posted as soon as possible. We felt this would be an approiate tribute to Joan.

If you have any questions please contact Bob Speier, Club Treasuer @ robtspeier@aol.com or me at keithburns@woodturnersamerica.com

PS: Please spread the word and help us make a difference. Thanks !
