Since I have a General, I call my lathe "The General".

I used to sign all my posts "Ruth and The General"...........before Barbara Gill got to know me, she thought the General was my husband. :D

Ah yes. Bad old days when part of the continual harassment was having to salute the water fountain. It was one of those that refrigerated the water.

Ol' Blue, my Delta, has passed to my eldest. Never named the 3000. Perhaps Fred?
 
My oldest is named 'The Scheppach' -
The middle is named 'Harrison' - because it is a Harrison Graduate lathe
The one I will buy this summer is already named 'The VeeBee' as it is a vb 36
