Hello All! I'm from Castle Rock, Colorado where I have a small woodshop and just got into turning. I've mostly done home remodeling and the stain grade finish carpentry/built-ins, etc and I make a lot of picture frames, some boxes, and some furniture. This turning journey started when I needed to make something that would fit into a round hole. Who knew it would become a new part of my journey with wood. I'm dabbling with some spindle work and working through some bowls. Not sure yet where I'll end up but I'm having fun making shavings. I joined the up north club here in Colorado, Rocky Mountain Woodturners, and saw a fantastic demo from Matt Monaco earlier this month. Good exposure to skew chisel work. I did just go off the deep end and upgraded from a small Nova Comet II DR to a Vicmarc VL300. It just arrived last week so I'm in turning heaven with the full-size lathe.
