Hello everyone! I recently found this forum and feel it will help me out a lot with lathe work.
I’ve been woodworking for a little over ten years. I am what I like to call a working hobbyist. Woodworking isn’t my full time job but I ran nearly 50 projects through the shop in 2023. I build a little bit of everything but I’ve found a niche that no one else seems to want to fill in my local area. The majority of my projects are display bases for taxidermy.

I’ve always had a lathe, it’s a small unit that I’m looking at upgrading. My past turning has always been small furniture parts like table legs, knobs and such. I’ve been intrigued about turning larger projects and want to expand my knowledge a bit before I get started.
