He was a well known turner from the Ron Kent days, he was known for big Calabashes, Oahu had a great collectors market then. Work sold for big money, Ron had the record at one time for the highest price paid for a turned piece.

I was told today that Mr Butts still active. I have not met him. I do not remember seeing him at the last Honolulu Woodturners symposium.
