Laguna Vacuum Inverter Issues

I have a Laguna vacuum inverter for my Laguna 18-36 lathe that I bought a few years ago. When I received it I installed it and used it once to see how it worked. It worked fine at the time. Now, after a few years, I was going to use it to finish the bottoms of some live-edge bowls instead of using a jam chuck. Well, I connected the compressor and set it up and nothing happens when I switch it on. Does anyone have any idea what could have gone wrong with it from installation to now? I contacted Laguna and they are not responding as quickly as I would hope. The technician emailed me today and said he was going to do some research and call me later today. The call never came. Any insight or solution would be appreciated. If I can't get it to work I'll just switch to a vacuum pump. Thanks.

Thanks for the response Rusty. Believe it or not, Laguna is sending me another unit. I'll give it a shot, but if it doesn't work well or if this one dies too, I'll just switch to a vacuum pump. I already have the rotating fitting and a vacuum pump, so I'll be good either way. Once I get the replacement I'm going to dig into the malfunctioning unit to see if I can figure out the problem.
