I am looking for a 32" (approx or larger) tool handle that will accept a 1" bore bowl gouge. Thompson Tools in Greenville SC used to make a Lance that was perfect and the handle was very heavy. Some type of oil pipe with a rubberized coating. Does anyone have any suggestions for something similar?

Thanks,
Chip

Chip, If you don't mind ugly you could probably make one from 1" steel pipe. Need to check the I.D. to be sure it would work. Several of my favorite home made (and ugly) tools use some 1/2" steel pipe.
