My chip "armor" is either a hoodie or nylon windbreaker depending on the temp covered by a dishwashers apron (Amazon). When in the shop sleeves are down, until I am using the lathe or other machinery, then a simple swipe pushes the sleeves above the elbow. Works for me and covers the bases.
